GLASGOW 2021

Annual Scientific Meeting

17th & 18th November

Urgent Meeting Update

- Feb 2021

In line with the third lockdown and the ongoing restrictions under the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACTACC committee and local organisers have once again made the difficult decision to postpone the Annual Scientific Meeting which was due to be held in June 2021.

With hospitals currently functioning at the highest national incident response level, the committee feels that the current situation remains too precarious with no guarantees on travel restrictions and availability of study leave for delegates.

The event will be moved to Wednesday 17th - Thursday 18th November 2021 and will remain at the same venue in Glasgow.

We do hope you will be able to attend the future event and if you have booked already, we will automatically transfer your registration to the new date.

In this meeting, there will be a focus on the future of cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care within the UK.

Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city, the third largest city in the UK with a metropolitan population of 2.3 million, recently voted by Time Out as the friendliest city in the world.

It is a UNESCO City of Music, a former European City of Culture with a vibrant nightlife, world-class architecture and has been described as the “best and most eclectic dining city in Europe”.
